How to select the right size chandelier for your room
In order to select the right size chandelier for your room simply
add the room's length and width, and the sum is, in a perfect world,
the chandelier width for you. For example, if your room is: 10 X
14; the width of your light fixture would be 24 inches.
However, there are lots of custom needs where this formula will
need to be sized up or down. If, for instance, your room is full
of furniture and is closed in, you may want to go down a chandelier
size from the formula; if your room is rather open, you may want
to go up a size.

Optical illusions: If you are hanging your chandelier in a 2 story
foyer, be aware that the higher you hang your chandelier the smaller
it will look. In this case, you may want to go slightly larger then
the formula.
Watch your head: If you're hanging your chandelier in a room with
a low ceiling you may need to go smaller than the formula so that
people don't whack their heads.
